Program Manager

Become part of the German Entrepreneurship team! We have been supporting innovation in companies of all sizes since 2008 – from DAX corporations to medium-sized companies, startups, and governmental and educational institutions. For example, we run the German Accelerator program supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the accelerator program of the LMU Entrepreneurship Center in Munich. We also help companies build their own corporate accelerators, such as the VW Data: Lab or the Siemens AI Lab. Since our foundation, we have accompanied more than 550 startups such as Celonis, Flixbus, Foodora, and N26 on their journey. We have developed more than 500 innovation projects and successfully implemented tailor-made solutions and concepts for numerous customers and partners from various industries.

For our German Accelerator team in Silicon Valley, we are looking for a Program Manager (m/f/d)

Responsibilities Include

  • Ensure our program runs smoothly, efficiently, on time and on target for our ambitious agenda
  • Create and constantly improve our customized activities, workshops, and events for each startup/cohort 
  • Deliver core workshop content; Engage internal and external subject matter experts to deliver relevant content
  • Understand and benchmark the progress of our startups as they progress through the program
  • Generate insights about our startups, their business issues, pain points and gaps in knowledge/connections 
  • Facilitate mentor matching for our startups
  • Frame the challenge facing the startups in order to drive mentor engagement effectively
  • Ensure that mentors are contributing to the startups effectively 
  • Develop KPIs for various stages of the program
  • Work hand-in-hand with our scouts to assess the pipeline of companies poised for growth, their potential in Asia / Germany, fit with the program, and other synergies
  • Facilitate and drive the necessary program documentation 
  • Inform and involve the German Accelerator team on the above so that all resources are engaged to help the startups

About You

  • Passionate about startups, technology, venture capital and innovation
  • Have a strong academic record and are excited to continue learning
  • An enthusiastic team player that loves working with different types of people in cross-functional teams 
  • A self-starter, with good communication skills and a structured mindset to approaching problem solving and meeting deadlines
  • Highly adaptable, Continuously seeking new ways to be more efficient and impactful 
  • Comfortable with uncertainty 
  • Get things done fast and meets deadlines with a can-do, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude; and don’t break down under stress
  • Highly organized with strong coordination skills and great attention to detail, ensuring operational excellence in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Exhibit cross-cultural awareness, understanding and sensitivity 

 The Ideal Candidate

  • Top student from a top university with a high GPA, won awards/scholarships 
  • Experienced in market entry strategies, corporate strategy and consulting
  • Have run your own startup or entrepreneurial projects 
  • Fluent in English, German a plus but not necessary
