Startup Scout and SDR (Sales Development Representative)

German Entrepreneurship promotes innovation in companies of all sizes – from DAX-listed corporations to medium-sized companies and startups. Among others, we run German Accelerator, which specializes in international expansion and is proudly financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, as well as the Master Accelerator in Munich and are one of the co-founders of the EU-India InnoCenter, a project supported by the European Union. Since its foundation in 2008, the team has accompanied more than 730 startups on their way, including industry giants such as Flixbus, Foodora, Celonis, N26, and Signavio. In addition, German Entrepreneurship supports medium-sized companies and DAX-listed corporations in the field of corporate innovation, for example in setting up their own innovation units or corporate accelerators.

For our team in Munich or Berlin, we are looking for a Startup Scout and SDR (Sales Development Representative (m/f/d).

Where We Need Your Skills and Support

  • Identify and engage best-in-class German startups through different scouting channels using a variety of outbound and inbound lead generation techniques, including social media outreach
  • Assist in leading them through the sales funnel and generate applications from startups fitting our target profile for the various programs
  • Specifically: Be responsible for the right startups to apply for the right program at the right time
  • Support our programs in offering the individually best expansion support for each company
  • Be an active part in developing our global scouting team and its expertise in lead generation & funnel management

What the Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

  • You have an outgoing personality and the ability to quickly convince people of your expertise
  • Your passion is sales, you love to optimize “your sales funnel,” and you have deep experience with using CRM/lead generation software, ideally you are very familiar with Salesforce
  • You are a fast thinker who enjoys analyzing startup business models and advising startups on how to improve
  • You have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication capabilities both in German and English
