We have created two program tracks to help you develop your value proposition and position yourself in the U.S. market. These programs are highly customizable, accommodating your specific questions and needs. This means that you can apply anytime, start dates are flexible, mentors will be identified based on your specific healthcare solution, and we will always work with you on a 1:1 basis. With this support model, we enable you to achieve ambitious objectives within accelerated timelines.
All companies selected by the GALS Selection Committee start out with Orientation. At the core of Orientation is the deep-dive meeting in Cambridge, MA. This is an intense one-day workshop with external experts, who help us assess where you stand as a company and in which areas we could provide support. During the deep-dive, we drill down on team, product, market, regulatory strategy, value creation, etc. and map out potential work streams and deliverables. Although the deep-dive meeting is the last step in the selection process, Orientation provides valuable feedback and insights regarding your company’s U.S. strategy. Based on the outcome of the deep-dive meeting, we decide which, if any, of our programs would be a good fit.
In the Prep program, you will build and complete key elements to get ready for U.S. market entry over the course of up to three months. We will be working with you on finding your North Star and getting all pieces in place to reach it. This includes, but is not limited to: your team, business model, regulatory pathway, and fundraising strategy. We assign a tandem composed of a senior strategist and a project manager and identify additional mentors with relevant expertise in your industry segment, who will work with you on the different work streams. Upon the completion of this program, you will have created a viable roadmap for your company’s success in the global market.
Within the Access program, you will execute your U.S. market access strategy with guidance from our mentors and partners. During the 6-9 month program, we support you extensively: from creating your business development and reimbursement strategy all the way to identifying and facilitating partnerships and exit scenarios. We also assist you with operational challenges such as setting up a U.S. office through our network of trusted service providers. By the end of the program, you will have reached previously defined milestones that reflect our shared vision of success for your company.
We accept applications anytime, there are no deadlines. Our Selection Committee meets every 6-8 weeks, therefore allow for 2-3 months between applying and joining the GALS Orientation. The selection process is highly competitive and our programs, while free of charge, require a strong commitment from participating companies. To benefit from our support, you will need to allocate significant time of the leadership team to work with us on your U.S. market strategy.
