Unlocking LATAM for Industrial Digital Twins

Gizil is an industrial SaaS company providing digital twin technology through its “Virtual Plant” platform. The solution enables asset-intensive industries—such as oil & gas, chemicals, and energy—to visualize, manage, and optimize complex industrial facilities through advanced 3D environments, asset data integration, and remote collaboration tools.

Validating demand and securing first enterprise traction in Latin America’s energy sector
What Happened During the Program
Gizil joined the German Accelerator program to explore expansion into Latin America, with a focus on Brazil and Argentina. The program supported the team in validating the market, refining their go-to-market strategy, and building the foundations for entering a new and complex region.
The Challenge
As Gizil looked to expand into LATAM, the team faced a familiar but critical hurdle: entering a large and opportunity-rich market with limited local knowledge and network access. Understanding how to approach major industrial players, navigate regional dynamics, and position a highly technical product within established ecosystems required more than just a strong solution. At the same time, they needed to clearly articulate their differentiation in a market where legacy technologies were deeply embedded, while also adapting their communication and operations to local expectations across multiple countries.
How German Accelerator Helped
Through targeted mentorship and hands-on support, German Accelerator helped Gizil build a structured approach to entering the LATAM market. The team worked closely with experts to validate market potential in Brazil and Argentina and sharpen their go-to-market strategy. They refined their messaging to better resonate with local industry needs, shifting from a purely technical explanation to a clearer articulation of their unique value—particularly the speed and cost advantages of their point cloud-based approach compared to traditional 3D modeling. The program also provided guidance on how to approach large corporates in the region and supported operational decisions, including hiring a local representative to strengthen on-the-ground communication and relationship building.
Outcomes & Achievements
