To qualify, your company must be a German-incorporated company. The company has an organizational structure (non-single founder), has been in operation for over 6 months, and has the founding team’s commitment to establish Asian operations. We will only consider companies who can dedicate resources to operate in at least two locations for the duration of the 5-month program in Singapore.
We are looking for companies that have proven market traction in Germany and/or Europe, and are looking to Asia as part of their next phase of expansion. Some key factors we look for include:
As long as your company is incorporated in Germany, you are welcome to apply. Founder nationality doesn’t impact selection into the program.
All program services, including mentoring and office space, are free to participating companies. Companies, however, are responsible for covering all of their associated costs, such as travel and accommodations to Singapore and within Southeast Asia, and any other costs related to developing your business in Southeast Asia.
You can apply online at any time, however there are stipulated application deadlines for each class commencing in March, July, and October.
Application process overview:
The program runs for 5 months in Singapore. To get the most out of the program, companies are expected to dedicate at least one senior team member to be based in Singapore full-time. While there may be regional/international travel, the minimum expectation is that the team member(s) is in Singapore/Asia 75 percent of the time.
As a Startup SG EntrePass Partner organization, applications for program participants, under specific terms, will be prioritized. Entrepass allows you to stay for 1 year to set up your company in Singapore. That’s up to you. We don’t provide accommodations, but our people, who have been living locally, can help you find an appropriate place. We will also provide a Survival Kit with information and links to housing options and resources.
The program will primarily include office space in Singapore. Should you require to work in other Southeast Asian markets for a short period as part of the program, please let the team know and we will check with our network of regional partners for possible arrangements.
Our mentor network consists of experienced entrepreneurs, industry experts, and leading individuals. Our mentor list is always growing, and we will match you with one or several individuals with the relevant experience and expertise to support your company during the program. There will also be opportunities to interact and network with our mentors through focused workshops and regular events.
